Q: If I manually add or edit a policy in IMS, will the information I entered get overwritten during the next policy download?
A: Yes and No. Some of the information that will not get overwritten on a download include the policy type, carrier name, and policy notes. Information such as policy premiums, dates, and transaction types will be overwritten during the next download.
Q: My downloads are showing the company name or policy type a certain way, but I would like to display these in IMS differently. Is this possible?
A: Definitely! Give us a call and we can match what the carrier sends for the carrier name and policy type to what you use in IMS.
Q: Does client information such as SSN download into IMS?
A: IMS supports demographic information such as SSN in the system, but this depends on the carrier sending the information in the download. If you don't see certain demographic information in IMS, it is likely due to not having the information in the download
